Overture by Skye Warren was a forbidden fruit love story between a young girl and her legal guardian. Being a child violin prodigy, Samantha's life is on the high-rise. Only a few more weeks left till graduation, and then she will be touring around the world. Liam didn't think his life would turn out like this. Given sole custody of a twelve year old Samantha, two strangers become a family. A bond is formed . . . one that is unbreakable. But one secret could tear it apart. . . . Why the three star rating? I liked Overture but it has a very slow start that didn't pick up till the 80% mark. I loved the forbidden aspect of this story, it is taboo but it didn't overstep the bounds of taboo. Not my favorite by Skye Warren, but I am interested to see where this story goes.
